Director of Electrophysiology (EP) Services - Pediatric CardiologyThe Ward Family Heart Center at Children's Mercy Hospitals & Clinics - Kansas City is seeking a Director of Electrophysiology. This position offers the opportunity for area leadership and academic career development. The successful candidate will lead our EP team which currently includes one EP physician, two Advanced Practice Nurses, and an EP Nurse.
Our Heart Center serves a population of over 5 million in the heart of America with 15 cardiologists, 3 surgeons, and 17 Advance Practice Nurses. We perform over 400 cardiac operations, 600 cardiac catheterizations and 130+ EP procedures, 12,000 outpatient visits and 14,000 echocardiograms annually.
Candidates must be board certified in Pediatric Cardiology with specialty training in electrophysiology, 8-10 years of experience, and expertise in ablation techniques. Experience in pacemaker and device implantation is desirable. Candidates should be academicians with demonstrated research productivity and the desire to develop both the academic and clinical aspects of our program. They should be qualified for academic appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor. Salary and academic rank are commensurate with experience. EOE/AAP
