Research

Many of our members continually strive to make advancements in the field of pediatric cardiology. It's our ongoing committment to keep children healthy and free of illness and disease. Here is a list of some of our current research activities.

Pediatric Biventricular Pacing Study
Anne Dubin, M.D.

I was hoping to stir up some interest in looking at all of our biV patients now that we have a bit of experience with implanting these devices. What we have found at UCSF and Stanford is that, surprisingly, our pediatric dilated cardiomyopathy patients don't seem to improve after resynchronization, as compared with CHD and CCHB patients. If you would be willing to donate some data, I think we may be able to learn some useful things and may be able to better predict who will improve and who will not.
